Chrome में install करें
- ZIP डाउनलोड कर उसे एक स्थायी folder में extract करें।

chrome://extensionsखोलें और Developer mode चालू करें। - Load unpacked दबाकर extracted extension folder चुनें।
- किसी सामान्य webpage पर जाएँ और shortcut से HindiType चालू करें।
Edge में install करें

ZIP को extract करने के बाद
edge://extensionsखोलें। - Developer mode चालू करके Load unpacked चुनें।
- Extracted folder चुनें; toolbar popup या shortcut से extension चालू करें।
Keyboard shortcut
macOS: Option + Shift + L · Windows/Linux: Alt + Shift + L
Shortcut को Chrome/Edge के extension shortcuts page से बदला जा सकता है। Browser या OS conflict होने पर अपना सुविधाजनक combination चुनें।
Supported और excluded fields
सामान्य text/search input, textarea और DOM contenteditable fields supported हैं। सुरक्षा और predictability के लिए password, email, URL, OTP और code-editor fields exclude किए जाते हैं। Google Docs जैसे canvas-based editors browser DOM text fields नहीं होते, इसलिए उनमें पूर्ण compatibility की गारंटी नहीं है।
Permissions क्यों चाहिए?
- activeTab: user के स्पष्ट activation पर केवल active page में typing सुविधा जोड़ने के लिए।
- scripting: supported active tab में packaged content script inject करने के लिए।
- storage: mode, site rules और personal learning को device पर रखने के लिए।
- Optional site access: Auto-ON केवल उन sites पर जिनकी अनुमति user स्वयं देता है।
Extension में remote code, advertising, analytics या typed-text collection शामिल नहीं
है। Store listing उपलब्ध होने तक यह verified ZIP manual installation के लिए है।
